Packing with kids

Last weekend before we leave, so of course we all slept in. Kids are out of the house either at friends or a pool party. Perfect time to clean the house, pack, pay bills or binge on Netflix. I must not cave, must not cave.

The kids and I packed all their clothes last weekend so the only thing left for them is decide on what to bring in their backpacks for the plane. If I had to guess Emery will want to bring all his hardcover, oversized Fact books and Harper will try to bring every doll and stuffed animal she owns. When we went to DC for Xmas she brought 2 dolls with all their various outfits and carried them around everywhere we went (well, except for when she got tired and I had to carry her, while she carried the dolls).

At least the baby doll did not require a metro pass. (Side note - I wish this travel blog had access to emojis!)

Back to packing - just need to pack all of the adult clothes, all shoes, all snacks, all electronics, and all important documents. I have this so far laid out on the bed. This is doable right? 2 adults, 2 kids with 3 carry on roller suitcases, 4 backpacks or duffle bags, and 1 large checked bag.

Other things to do before we head to airport on Monday: take the cat to a friends house, fill out an online form thing so they let us back in the US, clean out the refrigerator (the puking emoji would be perfect here), add water to the fish tanks, cut the grass, clean the entire house (in my adult life I've literally never gotten this done in 1 weekend, so I may need to revise this), show the pet sitters how to take care of the quail, set up the watering system for the yard and plant plants.

It seems like I should wrap up this entry and start tackling the to do list. First though .... coffee!

Did you get it all done??? It made me tired just reading it. I think I would have gone for the wine! Bon Voyage
